HH60 Memorial Service
HH60 Memorial Service
It was 10 years ago today that the HH60 from RAF Lakenheath crash on Cley marshes in North Norfolk killing all four crew members. A memorial service will start now on the site. RIP guys.https://www.eadt.co.uk/news/24030872.me ... rash-cley/

Frightening that that was 10 years ago!
Re: HH60 Memorial Service
Absolutely! I was living in Norfolk at the time and remember it very well having been at Cley only a few days prior. Seems like yesterday, or at least last week...

Re: HH60 Memorial Service
I was the Senior Assistant at Cley Marshes visitor centre which turned into a coordination military centre for 10 days ( 24 hrs a day ) with Norfolk Police, RAF Crash investigation team and logistics and of course the might of RAF Lakenheath and other USA departments. A huge input obviously but very humbling for me to be alongside so many serving personnel who all stood silent and to attention when the deceased crew were driven past. Brave men and women.

Re: HH60 Memorial Service
Was honoured to be there on Sunday with a number of other members of this forum for the ceremony and to remember the crew of Jolly 22
A special thanks to our own Mr 'Jolly Green' & Baz Wall for making this happen so the memory of the Jolly 22 is not forgotten. Further big thanks to Mr 'Jolly Green' for his tribute and leading the event - a tremendous effort mate
For those that were unable to make it and that are on Facebook, there are photographs and a video of the event on the 'Jolly 22 Memorial' page
God bless Jolly 22 - TOML
