Oh well it's a bigger ladder then.
why a ladder?? and not plasterers stilts or hire a mini cherry picker and tow it to the wave if you have a tow bar take the misses and sit on her shoulders :D at least i cut my hedge and grass :)

just a thought why not use a Periscope Camera plug it in your IPhone or whatever now there's a thought, Available off Amazon/Ebay ;) :) :D :thumb:

Hi guys, I work all week so no chance of getting there to see activity. Is there anywhere AT ALL to park on a weekend when the WAVE is closed just for me to log the aircraft? I dont mind a little walk if need be. Mainly the Hornets that I'm after.

Thanks
You can't really log anything from the wave, all you can see are the E3s - don't think these can be read off at all.

Layby on tower/white lane and walk to crash gate for the hornets, you can see the E550 nose on from the A607 but again is not readable.

You may be able to read it off by walking down towards the E3s are stored but the farmer isn't keen on folk being there. This is accessible by parking on the B1178 towards Branston and walking towards the base.

Good luck.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thank you, have just been and read all the Hornets off from the crash gate and could see the E3's with the binoculars (not read off) I will trust the eyes of people logging them on arrival.

Many thanks

I assume there'll be nothing happening tomorrow with US Labor Day, or will the non-US participants still be active?

I believe tomorrow is an exercise day with non US participants taking part. I think flying times are from around 9 until 1pm for the mission tomorrow, but not 100% sure ?

Keep a look out for a Madras tanker - that's a good sign.

Oh dear - that might not end well.

Is it busy? Many expectant folk with ladders at the fence?

Yes busy, car park not full though. The fence line is also busy but room avail. I would suggest more than a two step ladder.
The hedge is not cut.

That would be criminal damage so I would advise against it.

Police have already visited the Wave - not sure if they spoke to folk at the fence line

Looks like the wave carpark is full. The overflow is available though. It seems i spoke to soon,a steady number of cars in and out.

Didn't hear any Marham jets but it looked like Wolf were involved from Coningsby along with a few Lossie jets.
