Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
I’ve read somewhere else in some comments that there has been chatter of a potential B1 flypast (of some sort) but I couldn’t find any resemblance, has anyone else ?

There are B1’s in the country and I think Cosford have said they have asked, other than that nothing concrete or confirmed.JRandall23 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 7:04 pmI’ve read somewhere else in some comments that there has been chatter of a potential B1 flypast (of some sort) but I couldn’t find any resemblance, has anyone else ?

Yes, Cosford have actually confirmed they are trying but it is out of their hands.JRandall23 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 7:04 pmI’ve read somewhere else in some comments that there has been chatter of a potential B1 flypast (of some sort) but I couldn’t find any resemblance, has anyone else ?
Still working on stuff, and we are well aware of the Lancers.
It would but I hope everyone understands that this is not in our hands. We can ask but may mot get.
Royal Air Force Cosford
Believe me, we are trying.
Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
The B-1's are taking part in Air Defender which starts a day after Cosford so I can't see them getting lucky like they did in 2017 when they were already up on a mission during the show and were able to detour to Cosford on there way back too Fairford.

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2022
Has anyone ever been to albrighton sports complex for the airshow? Is it decent enough to watch the display from there or is there anywhere else thats any good? Was going to take my little boy but obviously missed out on tickets now.
Thanks
Thanks

HI Stealth,
Its not too bad, the smaller stuff doesn't come near it much but the reds, suisse and the F-35 will be ok there as well as the BBMF which fly close to it. they also have stuff for your little one to do as well.

Pretty certain all of those old areas are now closed off, due to the new CAA rules.stealth117 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 12:34 pmHas anyone ever been to albrighton sports complex for the airshow? Most of those back roads get closed off. The cricket club and garden center used to be a popular place for years, but they all have to close down now.
Just so you do not make a wasted journey.

Many thanks for your replies, i really do appreciate it. Will we have to be there early, do they run out of space by a certain time? My little boy has been asking to see some planes recently, so it will be nice to see him get excited when he sees the displays.
Thanks again

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
Albrighton Football club is in a residential area so unless people are been evacuated from their homes you will be still able to get there. Albrighton FC have got a fair day on the airshow day (check out there Facebook page for entry fees etc)
Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
The weather has gone from looking good to oh dear in a couple of days
. Let’s hope the weather front either come through early enough r I’d delayed
Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
well....these "loads of announcements" are a bit thin on the ground with only 4 days to go. IF..the weather does turn bad, that probably means the bbmf wont be flying, thinning out the flying schedule further. here's hoping the weather does play ball.

Latest Met Office forecast for Sunday looking better now, light westerlies and chance of rain reduced to 10% for the afternoon. Hopefully they are hedging their bets less now, fingers crossed!
