Re: Anatolian Eagle date and press/spotters day
Having not visited this event before can anyone who has post some tips? I understand it's possible to fly into Konya Airport via Istanbul and then just use local taxis to get to the event? is this easy to sort out? Also some good hotels close by? Would be great if someone who has done this recently could provide their thoughts and "do's and don'ts".. any help would be great as hope to make a first visit this year. Thanks.

But the DIY option does sound like an easy option too if anybody has done it before?

Re: Anatolian Eagle date and press/spotters day
Flights booked in anticipation
It it my long overdue first visit - I am going independently and hopefully meeting people out there who know the ropes but essentially Konya has many hotels and I guess it is a taxi/Uber to and from the airport. You could hire a car but it will only be used for airport - Hotel - airbase - hotel - airport to go home
Konya air base shares the runways with Konya airport
Pegasus fly to Konya via Istanbul from Stansted
My flight on 8/5 is £220 the Hotel is £150 for three nights ( although I only need the hotel for 2 nights as the flight leader suggested getting the 11pm flight on the 10th to Istanbul to spend a day ( i.e a long layover) on the 11th doing the Airforce museum before continuing to Stansted that evening )
