Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but why would they not want this shared online?

Probably because they'd rather announce it publicly through the official channels

RIAT policy is not to announce participation until they have written confirmation from the appropriate authority.
We can only hope that the twitterer, who did something similar last year and has broken a confidence, has not a) ended the FRIAT forum or worse, b) jeapodised the Spanish involvement.

FRIAT forum usually gets a sneak peak at an upcoming update. So I assume it would have been this coming weeks one, or one very soon.

I'm guessing they have confirmation if it has been told at FRIAT forum and just waiting for the next update window. Mig 21 and Harriers in 2019 were told to FRIAT early I believe before official confirmation.

I would say they didn't want it leaked, so they can be the first to make the big announcement as a surprise.

Just looked and nothing been posted on the FRIAT members section but like the last few years (pre and post COVID) I didn’t expect it to be. Still waiting for the write up from last years forum to appear

Would be nice if they streamed the FRIAT Forum one time. For the members that can’t make it

Good on them, they’ve always been good supporters of IAT / RIAT. Not everyone’s cup of tea but talented pilots all the same.

Today we wish Happy 100th Birthday to the Aeronautica Militare, who were formed on this day in 1923!
The Italian Air Force have been huge supporters of the Air Tattoo since first appearing in 1976, bringing a huge variety of aircraft over the decades, with their display appearances always among the most popular participants each year.

As part of the Italian centenary celebrations, at this summer’s RIAT we are planning a dedicated area showcasing a range of modern and historic Italian aircraft together for our visitors to view and enjoy. Keep an eye out for updates and aircraft confirmations in the coming weeks!
A little 'update' if you will from RIAT :)

Firstly this week, we are extremely excited to announce the participation of the Spanish Navy at RIAT 2023 with their McDonnell Douglas EAV-8B Harrier II aircraft! The iconic 'Jump Jet' will performing a solo flying display, with another example on static display and we're looking forward to welcoming these very special jets back to RAF Fairford.

Another rare appearance in the RIAT 2023 flying display will come from the Royal Danish Air Force, with their F-16 solo display. This is the first time we'll have seen the Danish Fighting Falcon perform in the RIAT flying display since 2011 and they plan to use their spectacularly painted 'Dannebrog' jet for the flying display. In addition, they'll also be bring a twin-seat F-16BM for static display.

This week we've also added a small number of civilian aircraft to the static displays, including what will probably be the smallest aircraft at RIAT 2023, a Slingsby Nipper!

This week various staff from RAFCTE have been attending the MAA/CAA Display Flying Symposium, hosted at Shrivenham. The aim of the event is for individuals involved with the air display industry to receive briefings on new regulations, increase safety awareness across the community on various flight safety issues including human factors, and to share best practice between display pilots, event organisers and flying display directors. In addition, our team met with many of the UK military display pilots who'll be performing at RIAT in July.
What a cracking update, happy with the Harrier, even just the 1!
