I have a flight booked over AMARG on 28th. I am looking for a list that I can use as a starting point for what is stored at present. Does anyone know if this is still available on the 'net' or where I could get one.

Try Double Eagle aviation at Tucson airport. Used them myself many years ago. Was around $100 for an hour or so but they do trips all the time and are used to the requirements of the enthusiast community.

Hi All

I have a list of AMARG which I have tried to keep up to date since the regular official lists from the PRO at AMARG stopped being sent out a few years ago, and the list is based on that last list plus my logs / photos, plus various reports since then. Please don't take the list as Gospel, but it might just help. I have tried to post the list on FC, but even by deleting much of the information, the post was some 180,000 charactars long, and the maximum allowed is 60,000 !!

Anyone who would like the list, on exel spreadsheet, with "warts and all", please pm me with your email address, and I will send it to you.

You just have to be lucky and hope it gets updated around when you were there

When I went a few years ago iy was updated every 2 days or so; so we didn't have a problem identifying anything.

Best bet is to have taken loads of aerial photos and compare the pics to whats in the list

How do you figure out precisely which of the F-4s, F-18s and AV-8s are in bags? Surely you can't count them?

However, as you wouldn't have actually seen the frame would it be counted as being seen?

Simple answer; No!

I saw everything that was on the field at Culdrose in September - I still need to Sea Harriers there because they were wrapped up in "lovely" green plastic bags!

Did you contact double-eagle by email prior to your trip? Reason I ask is that I have emailed them twice re: info/prices etc for overflights, but have not had anything back from them!

No mate, I talked to them direct. That way I knew I'd got what I wanted correct. Also allowed me to get a feel for their service.

Hi,

I contacted them by email late october and got this reply:

We are still offering those flights. We can do the flights any day of the week, but we can not guarantee an overflight of the area, however we can usually get at least one pass over the area. The Air Force can kick us out of the area at any time, and we can not loiter in the area.

The cost of the flight runs $190. /hr USD, with a 1 hour minimum.

FYI Double Eagle have now moved from Tucson out to Ryan Field, but are still doing overflights of DM and Marana.

Had contact with them yesterday. And if you're doing the AMARC overflight, they can still fly out of there location at Tucson.
