Hi There Andre Faehndrich here. Been an aviation enthusiast for as long as I can remember, having started ny spotting career in Dublin, Ireland, I now travel the world as much as I can, seeing all those exotic foreign aircraft. You'll also see me regularly at the likes of Luton, Heathrow, Stansted, Gatwick, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, etc, and also around ALicante, where we have a holiday home, so I try and incoporate at least 1x TLP a year at Albacete.

I also run an annual Young Aviators event at Sywell (to educate, inspire & encourgae adults and youngsters alike to consider a career in aviation - oh and to have fun too of course!!). We've just run the 16th annual one, where we flew a total of 150x (28x adults and 122x youngsters) on 19x aircraft with 22x pilots on a total of 123x flights.

Hi everyone,

Have been interested in aviation (in particular Military aircraft) since I was a boy. Based in NE Scotland so my interest is mainly around RAF Lossiemouth. Quite a while back I had the opportunity to visit airside and had a very exciting day. Looking forward to my next visit for Exercise JW-22

Hey all! I'm Nate. I live in the Mildenhall area and have done for the past 23+ years. I spent 21.5 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired in 2006 so I have been around many many different types of aircraft. I worked with the 493FS quite a bit and deployed with them several times. I took a ride in an F-15D at the end of my retirement and I will say it was one of the most awesome things I have ever done. Happy to be a member!

Cheers,

Hello All,

After lurking for some time I joined today from The Netherlands. I live close to Rotterdam-The Hague airport. I'm an aviation enthusiast for all my life mainly military following all the traffic with my scanners. As a teenager I flew gliders and during my work as a police officer (retired in 2017) I had the chance to fly as an observer on pollution controlflights onboard the Cessna 182 and BO-105 which was great.

Hi, i am new to Fighter Control and relatively new to spotting.

My name is Alessandro and I am 19 years old, I have been spotting for around 4 years, I have always lived in the Mildenhall area but have only just got into
spotting and photography recently as I managed to get a lens and got into the world of spotting.

I have mainly spot at Mildenhall and Lakenheath however now that I drive I can attempt to spot further afield.

I heard a lot about Fighter Control over the past few years and thought it might be time to become a member.

Many thanks :thumb:

Hi Alessardo

Welcome to Fighter Control... hope you enjoy your look around this great forum.

Now you can DRI e a trip out to Coningsby in Lincolnshire might be of interest to you.

It's a good airfield to spot at... lots of advantage points and quite busy most of the time.

If you like the older aircraft with a historic story to tell then the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Museum at Coningsby is well worth a visit.

Have fun on the forum and your next trip out.

Hi everyone!

I've always had a keen eye for aviation and living underneath the departures track for Mildenhall has really pushed that to the next level. I have known about FC for quite a while now but never got around to registering, until now!

I am hoping to get into spotting a bit more and this seems like the perfect place to get some recommendations, looking forward to getting involved!

Thanks all :)

Hi All, I'm new here, the name is Andy unless I'm in trouble and my Sunday name is Andrew. . . .

I initially got into photography again a few years back after a long time away. Then I started to pick up on the BBMF doing flypasts in my local area and I was hooked. The sound of one Merlin engine is something 👌 but 4 singing away in unison is just😍 👌👌
I soon learned about the Mach Loop and then I was really hooked. Just over 3 years now I've been going and I am still loving it. I try to get out there 4 or 5 times a year.
I have visited a few of the UK air bases, RAF Coningsby (my nearest), Marham, Lakenheath and Waddington.
This year I popped my RIAT cherry, I spent the Thursday watching the arrivals and I went in to the show on the Friday, then packed up my tent on the Saturday while watching the flying displays from the camp site.

I recently started a YouTube channel and I love the whole process of capturing the footage, with multiple cameras and editing it into something that is watchable and adding effects etc. before posting it for all to see.

Ohh, I live in god's own county, Derbyshire.

No signature yet as I have yet to figure that one out 😁
