Quiet Cranwell

Post by tailslides » Tue Oct 25, 2022 5:01 pm

Stopped at Cranwell on the way down South, only two Phenoms active, it seemed like all the other CWL callsigns were operating from Barkston Heath.

Sad to see the airfield so quiet 😪

The NOTAM has since expired so it's no longer viewable, but I'm sure I saw something about a runway inspection or similar today up until 1730 local - could explain the quietness.

Thanks for the reply, there was a van towing what looked like a rotary brush up and down the runway. The two Phenoms were ZM334 and ZM335 whilst a Prefect, ZM306 callsign was Gundog I believe, did a touch and go.
