Yeovil (Westland) sightings 2022
Re: Yeovil (Westland) sightings 2022

Out on an overcast, threatening rain and quite muggy ramp this morning was:
(6203?)/(ZR287?) Merlin for Poland.
It's mainly painted in the same grey scheme as ZR286, but still a few panels missing. No rotor blades or tail blades. Polish serial uncovered, but appears to be in some sort of disruptive camoflage - it looked like 0903 to me initially. UK serial in small light grey digits on rear fuselage, not on the boom. Couldn't read it from the bedroom window - fuel bowser in the way.
Cheers
Malcolm

Out on an warm, sunny and muggy ramp this morning was:
ZR287 Merlin for Poland.
All over primer, with just a few panels missing on the rotor-head. Blades and tail feathers fitted so probably a first flight soonish.
Cheers

Re: Yeovil (Westland) sightings 2022
ZZ114, Norwegian serial still blocked out, basking in the warm sunshine at the western end of the flightline APU running as I type but can't see anyone around it. Flight she'd door's open. One Merlin in primer visible in the easternmost bay, and another fully painted Norwegian at the western end of the shed..

The Hex code would fit with that supposition.

ZZ102 was reported on MSF as going to Southampton docks on 8th Aug https://mil-spotters-forum.groups.io/g/ ... t/92890181paul simmons wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 5:42 pmWould anyone be able to help with the fully painted Norwegian that was visable through the middle open hangar door this afternoon.

It hasn't been reported as coming back. ZZ114 is the only other painted one known to be in the flight shed.
So odds are it was ZZ114. There is however a possibility of it being ZZ115, or even ZZ100 if that has actually been painted. AFAIK neither of these have been seen yet.

Re: Yeovil (Westland) sightings 2022
Many thanks Malcom, I did notice that it showed up on ADSB during the morning. Most of the hangar doors were open and there didn't seem to be any other white Merlins in there.Malcolm wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 7:58 pmZZ102 was reported on MSF as going to Southampton docks on 8th Aug https://mil-spotters-forum.groups.io/g/ ... t/92890181paul simmons wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 5:42 pmWould anyone be able to help with the fully painted Norwegian that was visable through the middle open hangar door this afternoon.
