What is in a way reassuring is they've listed a farrago of woke reasons for ending military air participation, but its darn annoying, and I certainly hope won't start a precedent, by throwing environmental reasons into it. Its like businesses in the past which have had to re-structure or move, they list all the real reasons first, fall in customers, move to concentrate on a new commercial direction, then the rounding remark, for political reasons, and because of the affects of Brexit. I just hope this shower haven't just nudged a sleeping dog.

Ridiculous and disrespectful to the highly skilled military pilots who fly in these display teams as well as being trained to protect the free societies that allow events like F1 to flourish. Yet another cretinous and over-sensitive decision by the ignorant.

Oversensitive and ignorant just about sums up this thread so far. Chill, F1 for cars and airshows for aircraft. Simples.

As long that the Yoga exercises are only gentle, we don't want to be emitting any noxious gases into the atmosphere do we . :)

Jeez Military flypasts have been a feature of F1 events since as long as I remember.
Anybody remember the Vulcan display at Brands Hatch 1995 that shook all the much out of the grandstand roof ?

Bahrain, Saudi, Russia……. Free societies? Might I suggest your response is cretinous?

However l…. visit airshows to watch aircraft, motor racing tracks to see motor races, quite easy really!

No you may not suggest that. It’s an over-reaction and quite rude to be honest. Better to keep your opinion to yourself if you disagree.

Secondly, I’m no F1 fan so have no idea they raced in Russia or Saudi. But my point stands, it’s disrespectful of the F1 organisation as in effect they’re saying military aviation is a bad thing.

Were there any Vulcans flying in 1995?

Blimey, relax mate. They are not saying that military aviation is a bad thing at all. Suggest you actually read it, and pick your dummy up when you can.

"Better to keep your opinion to yourself" then why on earth are you giving your opinion on something you know nothing about?? :S

Last F1 at Brands Hatch was 1986 and no Vulcan was flying in 1995. Probably a type by Andy_99 - or mis-remembered?

In all seriousness, airshows cost enough anyway so I cannot see why anyone would pay even higher prices for F1 to see an air display.
