Zagreb MiG's

Post by Charles022 » Wed Nov 24, 2021 10:04 am

All,

With the easing of travelling restrictions, I took a trip to Zagreb back in late September to catch some of Croatia's remaining MiG-21's.

A quick stop to shoot the stored An-32's.

It wasn't long to wait before an unusual engine noise was heard over the civilian traffic...

Love these. What chance of the RIAT team getting a couple to attend? Make a nice change from the usual fighters. More please.

None, they need too many refuel stops en-route, thus increasing the probability of going tech somewhere

Should have gone a few hours down the road to Batajnica - Serbian A.F base. The still have flying Mig-21, as well as its big brother - Mig-29's.

MiG21 is such an iconic jet, well captured.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

So how did the Romanians do it?

Also the Hungarians visited RIAT with four Mig 21s several years ago.

Hello, beautiful shots with perfect sun. Did you get permission to have access to the spots with the official form. The Croatians like to know who will be near the fence for taking pictures. It is no problem with the permission.

There's plenty of W+R MiG-21's to see around Zagreb also!
