Five a day - Part 2
Five a day - Part 2
A few more from the 70s. Was meant to be early RAF Jaguars today but they will be delayed by a few days due to a technical hitch. I'm afraid it is variations of the Fairey Gannet in lieu...

Excellent, always one of my favourites years ago. Thanks for sharing these.
Re: Five a day - Part 2
Another lovely selection. Like the AEW3 five-ship.

I wonder what the noise was like? Excellent selection.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
Re: Five a day - Part 2
About time you put some of your oldies on here. At 5 a day it's going to take about 100 years! Love the second shot with Buccaneers galore in the background.

Re: Five a day - Part 2
My dad was stationed at Lossiemouth with 849Sqn Gannets when I was born, so these are great to see, the T5 shot is superb. Many thanks for these.
Re: Five a day - Part 2
They were one of the aircraft you used to see day in and day out for spells but you often didn't take photos because film was relatively very expensive in those days. I would be very different now.

Re: Five a day - Part 2
Big, ugly in yer face and rugged, love 'em! Whatever happened to the Gannet that flew in 1988, where is it now? And wasn't there at some point a few years back, a Gannet due over here from the US?
Re: Five a day - Part 2
Roughcutter. Last I heard it was flying in the States in 2013. Was due to come here way before then, got as far as Goose Bay, then had prop problems I believe. It was ferried to it's new owner in Wisconsin in an Antonov 124 pre 2012.

The one flying in the UK around 1988 was XL502 (G-BMYP) and is now preserved at Elvington.
Re: Five a day - Part 2
Some crackers there. Particularly liking the one with the Buccs in the b/ground!
Re: Five a day - Part 2
Cracking pics of the lovely Gannet - thanks so much for posting. That T5 is a stunner.
