Shouldn't that be a Midge as the I believe the fighter variant was called, or Ajeet in Indian AF service.

I'll give you that. It is an HAL Ajeet, the licence built version of the Gnat/Midge lightweight fighter.

I read once that the PAF Starfighters couldn't use their missiles against the IAF Ajeet as their engine didn't provide a distinct enough IR signature against the heat of the ground.

Anyway, I have nothing to offer as I'm at work so anyone please step in with another challenge.
