Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Why post ANOTHER list, why not just edit the one you put up or better still comment with any changes to the list on page 1 and I'll edit if need be.
Feel like I'm wasting time bothering with this if people, who go by tracking sites as if they're always right, are gonna post a "look at me" list every now and then!!

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
I was told by Mike to also post on here too. You lot need to chill honestly
Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Wrong! I asked you to amend your list in this thread and not to post yet another list here, no need for the attitude about us having to 'chill', matey.
By the way, you also have ZK324 down twice as well - I'd give up compiling detailed lists of anything if I were you.
Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Was only trying to help. Anyway I think people need to watch how they speak to one another in this hobby. Nobody knows what each person is going through in personal life. What happened to mutual respect. I’ll not be posting again
Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
So what about the comments YOU aimed at people on social media, "window lickers" I believe.

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
ZJ923-923 was outside on 2/3 Hard today having APU runs, first time its been seen outside for a very long time. Also ZK361-361 the 12 Sqn diversion last week was towed from the 2 Sqn HAS site into 6 Sqn's Hangar.
I do what the voices in my head tell me to do!!!!

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Question for the compiler. How do you decide/know which airframes belong to which squadron? Apart from the 9 Sqn jets, aren't all the others pooled between sqns?

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
They tend to lodge with one squadron for a while and as each operates from their own line you can work out who is with who.
Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
I go by which line the jet comes off of, regardless of callsign etc, as has been said the jets are pooled and are rotated between the units but as Ian has said, they tend to keep them with a Sqn for a period before rotating them. A bit easier just now as none of the Sqn's are deployed. Can get confusing when a unit is away and frames are borrowed.

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
So if a particular aircraft hasn't flown for some time then it is assumed that it is still with the previous Sqn's line that it was last seen on? And that is how it is listed? But we don't know for certain if that is still the case - correct?np1991 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 12:53 pmI go by which line the jet comes off of, regardless of callsign etc, as has been said the jets are pooled and are rotated between the units but as Ian has said, they tend to keep them with a Sqn for a period before rotating them. Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
To a point yes, until it is next noted either still here or at Coningsby etc. Believe it or not stuff does get missed so if you have any corrections/updates speak up.

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
6 Sqn heard this afternoon using callsign "Phantom".
Heard it once before but waited for confirmation on Sqn allocation.

Yep..Phantom 41/42 are at Tain just now 19.00
Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Haven't looked at this thread for some time so apologies for the dated comments. Noted on the 16th December 2020 were the following with callsigns indicating use by a squadron different from that indicated in the main list.
ZK427 - Jedi 11
ZK334 - Jedi 12
ZK377 - Jedi 14
ZK331 - Voodoo 11 (need some confirmation on that callsign)
Cheers, Tom

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Thanks Tom, however ZK334 is now at Coningsby. With 1 Sqn deployed ZK377 and ZK427 have been allocated to the Sqn's on page 1. Can't say I've heard a Typhoon use Voodoo, will keep an ear out for that one.

ZK350 departed to Coningsby and was swapped with ZK330 on 30/03, with thanks to Jim :- viewtopic.php?f=74&t=202719
Niall, are there no jets allocated to 1 sqn at present?
