Thanks @WAP - can I ask where you found the NOTAM? (I've not been able to find it anywhere - I would normally look here- https://notaminfo.com - am I missing a source?) thanks.

Not sure why it's a negative that there will be some weekend activity at a fairly quiet Airbase? Anything that happens at Fairford nowadays is usually pretty special and will attract people?

I use the UK NATS NOTAM service (it only shows up to 7 days ahead)
You need to register but it's free
http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/in ... mid=4.html

For every up comming NOTAM published you can use the US Defence site
No need to register
https://www.notams.faa.gov/dinsQueryWeb/

It’s worth adding that these notams don’t show under “EGVA” (Fairford) but rather “EGTT” (London ATC center)

NATS AIS will show beyond 7 days (provided the NOTAM has actually been promulgated) but it will ask you to confirm if it is more than 7 days ahead.

Airport searches will produce airfield warnings, which are to do with the operating capability etc, the navigation warnings are shown under the appropriate FIR - in this case the London FIR - once you have waded through all the COVID procedures and Belarus overflight restrictions that is! Even if you tell it you are going from Fairford to Silverstone direct at 1000ft VFR, you get the lot.

Hmm, I never managed to get NATS AIS to go further than a week even after re-submitting, just tried and it does go longer (depending on the date range you input)

If looking for a NOTAM more than a week away I'll just use the FAA site as it is easier and doesn't have a date range that I can see.

Obviously depends on what you are using it for but the absence of a warning that far out doesn't mean nothing is happening, just that it hasn't been inputted, or approved, yet. The RAFAT transit only appeared today I think.

Yes, 17:35 for the departure home, but also 14:06 departing for Silverstone, so if you were there for that you could see them coming back at 14:54 as well.
