Yeovil (Westland) Sightings 2021

Good Morning all.
The time has come when we would traditionally start a new new thread which we do about every three months.
I guess this originates from the time when Westlands was much more active.
How do you feel about a longer thread, say covering each year.
Let me know what you think.

Out on a sunny if slightly chilly ramp this morning were

ZZ102 Merlin For Norway - Fading dayglow rear fuselage, Noggie serial covered by one large black rectangle of tape
ZZ112 Merlin for Norway - Noggie serial covered by 4 individual sections of black tape
/AD Merlin HC4a - back on the rust spot.

I know several of you 'up country' have been waiting for ZZ112 delivery for many weeks. I've no inside info, but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened this week.

Probably unconnected with the 'thread change', this thread oddly seems to have moved from 'South West England' to 'Recent Serial tie up area'. (The Culdrose thread has also moved (to 'Old serial tie up area').
Thanks for all the Westlands gen on here - does help those of us from further away to plan when to have a day out.

Nothing out on an overcast and muggy ramp this morning. However reports during the day of a Polish AW101 outside necessitated a trip on the way home. At 17:45...

ZR285 Merlin (for Poland) Still in primer, with a large black serial (approx. 1 foot tall) on the boom (not in the usual place on the rear fuselage) Something has been pinging 43C926 for most of the afternoon, so I suspect systems checks before first flight.

Not seen it since last Monday, but no reports of it being delivered either, so almost certainly still at Yeovil.

A quiet Yeovil today. Long day but worthwhile!

Nothing outside during the morning.
Pulled outside late afternoon were ZZ102 and ZH831

At 18:35 ZZ112 was pulled out at and then ten mins later ZZ102 was pushed into the vacated space.

At 19:45 ZR285 was pulled out onto the ramp and at 19:48 ZZ112 returned inside to take its position.

Movements back inside:
ZH831 hgrd at 18:20
ZZ102 hgrd at 18:45
ZZ112 hgrd at 19:48
ZR285 hgrd sometime after 8pm as it was being fuelled and had a start cart as I left at 20:10

Patience was required today

ZR285 AW101 for Poland. First flight around the airfield.

It was also out on Friday evening (first engine runs?) and Sunday Morning (second engine runs?) so they seem to be pulling their fingers out on this one.
