Probably not, but you really are working with false information - most school teachers are still teaching, whether it be actually in school like my son (just about to do his latest LFT before going back to work tomorrow); or doing on line lessons - he actually has to do both!

He's worked right through and tomorrow he will be teaching 15 children of key workers and delivering online lessons as well - still no offer of a vaccination though!

It would be interesting to see how they could fit in a shift at the vaccination centre!

My brother in law said the private school that my nephew went to has been open as normal? Doesn't seem right to me - have private schools been open so that fees are collected and the staff get paid, in contrast to the state education system?

That's another coffee I owe from the van at LN!

You got me thinking about the state v private school guidance and all I can come up with is on these two sites - both of which make it clear private schools are under exactly the same restrictions as state schools; i.e. they should only be open to the children of key workers and vulnerable pupils.

The private school statement was something my brother in law came out with during a zoom session, it didn't sound right and I didn't check the veracity of his statement because it suited both our arguments!

So schools back on March 8 but we are still effectively in lockdown until stay at home is lifted on 29 March!!

I'd noticed the drop in vaccination numbers, only 150,000 the day before too although the numbers with the second jab are rising slowly. However we were warned that supplies would slow down at this point as the factories were slowing production so as to gear up for faster delivery in the near future.

The vaccine passport goes against traditional British freedom but two thoughts. First this will become a global requirement so we'll have to get the system in place if we want to travel abroad. Secondly, there's a suggestion that it will "encourage" people who haven't been vaccinated to get the jab which will benefit us all. I believe Italy and the US have restrictions on children starting school if they have not been immunised against the child hood diseases like measles.

The manger/owner of pimlico plumbers was briefly interviewed on the BBC and he said his employees must demonstrate they have had the vaccine for worker and customer protection. He went on to say ' it is a no brainer' I agree with that last sentiment!

Don't get too carried away. My side effects did not kick in until several days after my OAZ jab.

Where did you have yours done? Got mine at Springfields on Friday. Think they have the Pfizer vaccine, or everyone I know who's had the jab there seems to have Pfizer

Munro Medical Centre. I am only just shrugging off side effects, very unpleasant.

Although I had by jab at my surgery, I have noticed that on my health record it states that it was administered at Springfields so looks like they are using both vaccines there.

My partner had the Pfizer vaccine on Saturday - It makes me think that something is going on? Is the Pfizer vaccine the preferred jab despite the -80c handling issues?

I had the Oxford - apart from feeling rough the next day the side effects for me have been negligible , a mild cold. My partner on Pfizer had no side effects at all.
