Texas Freeze

Post by slogen51 » Fri Feb 19, 2021 10:10 am

Some seriously low temperatures crippling Texas.

Power has been interrupted and therefore water purification plants have stopped working.

The inhabitants have discovered that frozen pipes will leak when defrosted.

But it's ok because Texas Senator Ted Cruz ( republican) went on holiday to Mexico!

I remember being on a trip when we could not travel north from Houston to Dallas because of snow and ice so it does happen occasionally.

Only been in summer. It's difficult to believe it gets that cold when your sweating like mad!!!. P.S. Ted Cruz is an idiot.

on the BBC news page

Texas Senator Ted Cruz has attempted to defend taking a family trip to Mexico amid a winter storm that left millions in his state without power and water.

Mr Cruz said on Thursday he planned the holiday for his daughters, "wanting to be a good dad", but had returned because it "didn't feel right".

"Look, it was obviously a mistake and in hindsight I wouldn't have done it," he said.
