With different regulations applying to the four countries that make up the UK, it may be prudent to split the thread into four then anyone can discuss the situation in their country.
Thought we were all one country? :halo:

When it comes to applying lockdown restrictions and the like then the individual countries of of Union can make their own decisions on which direction they want to go in.
But, when it comes to who is going to pay for the decisions the individual countries make ,then we are all one country.

Denmark to cull 17 million mink amid Corona virus fears

The BBC found lots of 'experts' to say the government were wrong to announce that the furlough scheme will end at the end of October but for balance the BBC have found some more 'experts' to say it it too expensive and a potential waste to extend the scheme until 31/3/2021!

Now there is a new symptom for Covid. If a Vindaloo tastes like a Korma you probably have Covid. It's something thing to do with chemesthesis. which is how certain tastes are transmitted to the brain.

Went for our usual walk in the woods this morning , as you do. Couldn't believe the number of twitchers lined up with the telescopes looking for Crossbill and whorefinch , so I was told.

Apparently this part of Norfolk is the place for Crossbill.

Lots of dog walking and jogging so good to see people getting outside while the weather is good.

Shouldn't that be 'Hawfinch'?

Early days but the Stock market has rocketed on vaccine news

Glad I topped up BP shares 2 weeks ago at £1.95 - now ex divided and currently valued at £2.30!

Wish I had the balls to invest more than I did

At least someone’s winning during all this...

A bit like the PPE companies that a good proportion of the SAGE committee and government ministers gave investments in.

I hope this is all true for everyone that the vaccine is close, but based on the complete farce this year with the Flu Jab and running out of stocks so quickly when they surely should of known more would come forward I will wait and see.

I suspect the vaccine will be like a Windows update, rubbish until version 3 or 4... I'll hang on a while before I venture down that path, see what the side effects are like on the people that take up the first release!!
