I always loved the Upper Heyford airshows. Never as big as Mldenhall but with a great atmosphere and the occasional gem in the static display.
My first Heyford Open Day was in 1969 when the 66th TRW were based there with RF-101 Voodoos and RF-4C Phantoms. Here are some photos from the day:
