Montrose Air Station

Post by Wallace » Sun Feb 23, 2020 9:06 pm

I managed to get some much needed aviation photo-therapy at the Montrose Air Station. What a pleasure it was to get out with the camera when it wasn't; blowing a gale, raining, snowing, sleet or any combination of the four.

The Red Lichtie, a full scale Spitfire replica and a very convincing one at that, right down to the rusty exhaust stubs.

The Anson restoration is ongoing, the fuselage is down to a bare minimum.
