Notam for LN states closed 23rd December 2019 0600 to 02 January 2020 0600.

So they looks like they’ll be back to normal on the 2nd going by the notam.

I have a feeling a similar NOTAM was posted last year and they didn't fly - but nevertheless... I will probably give it a go!

I’m considering visiting on 2nd or 3rd for this very reason. However it’s a 6 hour round trip for me and Sod’s law says nothing will happen till the 6th if I do!

Think I am going to go on Friday morning, unless I see someone posting on here about a mass takeoff on Thursday! Still, at least on a Friday you see all the action your going to see in the morning and then can slide off to the Pack Horse Inn in Moulton for a slap up lunch!

Couple of people on Facebook saying return to flying is on Monday - but this might just be gasbagging. I think i'll give it a shot tomorrow... maybe hit Duxford if LN is dead.

Like I said it’s a 6 hour round trip for me so if LN is dead it’s a lot of wasted time. Might wait it out and see how tomorrow is and if it’s active I’ll head up Friday morning and do Mildenhall in the afternoon.

No F-15's yet & no atis broadcast. ground movement has increased, there's been a runway check & sweep plus the rw lights are on. The 493 HAS doors are open and there was a group of 60? People scatter between them all 20 minutes ago.

For what its worth - had a great morning at Lakenheath with plenty of action from 493rd - including a D and the heritage jet (which I thought had been repainted by now!)
