JASDF Gifu Air Festival 10/11/2019

Following on from the Japanese Ground Self-Defence Force's Tachikawa open day (viewtopic.php?f=19&p=1145835#p1145835) on the Saturday of my time in Japan, the Sunday was the air force's turn to host an air festival.

Gifu, north of Nagoya is home to the Japanese trials and test pilot's unit the Air Development & Test Wing (ADTW). The ADTW operates a large variety of types for trials purposes and to operate the test pilot course which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. I spent most of the airshow on the outside of the airfield at the excellent Gifu-Kakamigahara Air & Space Museum, with a quick dash inside for the static items.
