NAS Corpus Christi

Post by david14 » Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:12 pm

A couple of months' ago I had a quick tour of this very busy NAS in southern Texas.

CC is home to Training Air Wing 4, with two squadrons of T-6s and two squadrons of T-44s. Also there are a US Army maintenance unit (which we didn't visit) and some CBP Orions (which we didn't get very close to).

A pleasant sunny day produced plenty of the based aircraft both on the ground and flying.

Nice shots of something a bit different.

I visited as part of a touchdown trip 20+ years ago, apart from the T-6s , it looks the same

The army depot or CCAD (Corpus Christi Army Depot) did a guided tour on board a miniature train inside the hangar complex. It sounds mad but I don't think I am imagining it.

I really like the T-6 it looks like it can take some heavy landings during circuit bashing.
Great set
