HMS Queen Elizabeth Deploys to th Arctic

Post by Snoop 95 » Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:22 am

This is an intriguing article about HMS QE being about to deploy to the Arctic Ocean as a stand-by relief landing for a "cargo aircraft". As the title says it is all very secretive, but the first thing that occurs to me is that, having no arrester system, the said aircraft must either be a helicopter, or have a very short landing capability or perhaps be a seaplane, or a sliegh.
Anyone know more?

This is almost as good as the spotter who asked for a serial of a F-104 on a pole in Germany. He said it was signposted near "Ausfahrt".

Is HMS Queen Elizabeth equipped to receive the NORAD Santa Tracker for this?
