Waxwing at Troon
This little guy turned up at St Meddans street in Troon Ayrshire and a first for me and himself to my surprise, anyway here are some shots

Excellent shots Dougie , we had a few of them in our garden a couple of years ago. They didn't stay long but ate all of the berries on the bushes before going to other gardens, beautiful birds and quite rare around here - they migrate to these parts from Scandinavia, don't they?
This season, I'll be mostly wearing........A THONG!

They usually descend on our village at some stage, usually followed by a horde of 'twitchers' bestrewn with more L-series glass than WEX

lovely shots...
I flock of them flew through our estate last year, and there was about 20 birdwatchers with cameras turn up out of no where :-D
