Trump visit

Post by jules50 » Mon Nov 25, 2019 12:44 pm

From Northolt twitter feed.

Northolt will be closed to civilian flying from 28/11 to 5/12 due to military operations. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

12:30 Wednesday

All four are parked outside and easy to see from the Polish War Memorial path

It's raining but the last three are 432,436,437 and 134

It is '134, Mark. Has been read off by someone else this morning.

Rather contradicts the Northolt spotters Twitter/FB (whichever) statement as 133 confirmed.

'Rain'? What's that? Thirlmere's about 8/10 foot below max. Mind you, we had our share- 14" in 24hrs, on 5th December 2015!

Thanks slogen51. I think people have been reporting SBS sightings again which is most annoying. A Northolt eGroup list quotes 133 too. Thanks for actually reading 134 off and confirming it (insert thimbs up here!)

Mark

The VH-60N has been offloaded. I’m not there but it might be 163259 (to be confirmed)!

The VH-60N has already been put in the hangar, so no chance yet to confirm.

The consensus is:-
13-08134 GRIT 11 AE599F
13-08436 GRIT 12 AE599E
13-08432 GRIT 13 AE5998
13-08437 GRIT 14 AE599F
All the hexcodes have been noted in use by other H47's. So should not be relied on.

In fact all US military hexcodes should be treated with suspicion following the ruling that all aircraft flying in controlled airspace in the US must transmit a hexcode. The Legislators slipped up by missing out the word "allocated" in the legislation.
As some US military personnel are not happy about being tracked by "civilians" and are trying to upset the system by miscoding.

With respect, I believe that is incorrect - can someone who has actually eyeballed them post details?

The last three are 13-084xx serials - eyeballed by several people - so:-

13-08134, 13-08436, 13-08432, 13-08437, but exact tie-up with callsigns is not known.
