No.
Looks to have been taken from US-62(Colonel Aaron C Burleson Memorial Highway) which runs just south of the base. Gives good views over the southern ramps.

See they have a KC135 there as well, in case the 46's don't work. :D

Nice to see someone visit my part of the world.

The KC-135s are still being flown and its training pipeline open, despite the KC-46 being brought online. The 56th ARS (KC-46) is currently only teaching their instructor cadre, growing it.
The KC-135 is expected to be in service for another 20 years.

Thanks for the comments

Yes, there's good views from the south, to get closer to the KC135s it seems you need better (drier) weather than the two times I have been there - to be comfortable driving the dirt roads to the east.

Here are a few more

Sorry - pressed the wrong button

There are some more C17s further west and here's a rather distant view of the KC135 ramp - it was beginning to get dark

That's quite a line up from a unit seldom seen on this side of the pond.

Anyone know whether the KC-46s here and elsewhere are likely to get tail marks denoting their home base?

Makes them far more interesting from a photographic viewpoint.

So far, AMC and AETC will not get any tail markings. However, my best friend got word that Pease requested and has been granted permission to add their state tail flash to their KC-46s. So the ANG once again does it right.
