Certainly are worth sharing and very glad you did... oh for a time machine... to have these back in our skies again.

I spent most of my F111 days at Lakenheath but did venture over to Upper Heyford a few times in search of these wonderful jets and that of the Spark Varks .

Thanks again for sharing these and for the memories :thumb:

Historic occasion nicely captured. If memory serves one of these was called 'Last roll of the Dice'.

Definitely are worth sharing - that's what this section is all about: great aircraft from the best era

And they don't get a lot better than Spark Varks :thumb:

Definitely worth sharing, I for one miss the Swingers at Upper Heyford and Lakenheath.
Sad day when they left.

Was never lucky enough to visit Upper Heyford only Lakenheath but I reckon I must have seen a fair number of both bases Aardvarks and Sparkvarks at Airshows and visiting Aibases all over the UK.

I only got there 4 times myself
1st was 1968 - Voodoos - No pix
Next 3 visits were F-111E's
Sparkvarks are something I missed all over the place though, even AMARG.
