Linton on Ouse 07.10.19

Post by LTFT5 » Tue Oct 15, 2019 8:24 am

A sad day for me as this was my last visit to Linton before the Tucanos are retired from active service.
With runway 03 in use and glorious autumnal light I set of early to avoid traffic in Hull and York and found myself at the fence line for 08.45.
There were plenty of movements throughout the day and below are some of the shots I took.
The Tucano looks good from any angle and I will be sad to see it go.

Great set Andy  I agree they have quite a charisma and still seem to me to be quite 'stylish'. I remember one the first factory demonstrators being displayed at Mildenhall - really impressed with that.
From the JP days I always liked Linton as great for viewing and just generally seeing what was happening.
I'm looking for a gap in the weather and I'll be up next week

Thanks for posting

Fantastic set of photos there, I was there for a couple of hours last Thursday for the last time, such a shame to see them go

Very nice set of photos. I shall also miss the Tucc, she looks much nicer than the Texan.

Hi 3 Greens,
I used to love to go watch the JPs and I agree Linton is great to view from.
Hope the weather clears for you next week.
Thanks for the kind comments

Lovely set, some great colour there. Can't believe the Tucano is nearly gone... I remember seeing the first prototypes on air test at Sydenham, like it was yesterday. Now I feel depressed...!
