RAF/ Thomas Cook?

With all the news regarding Thomas Cook is/ was there there not some arrangement between the RAF and Thomas Cook regarding the A.330s?

The arrangement is/was between Air Tanker and Thomas Cook.

Condor operate G-VYGK at present and Jet2 have G-VYGL & G-VYGM.

These aircraft are owned by Air Tanker and leased if there is spare capacity under an agreement with Thomas Cook. Therefore these aircraft are not owned by Thomas Cook and will return to Air Tanker. With the shortage in planes caused by the 737 max I doubt it will be too long before another Airline comes knocking at the door asking to lease them.

There is no agreement with Thomas Cook, because it's Condor Flugdeinst that lease the aircraft.

But isn't Condor Thomas Cook's German airline? Condor itself may not be too healthy - it has just applied for a 200 million Euro bridging loan from the German government in an effort to keep flying!

Maybe being used on repatriation flights with a RAF crew, not sure if that would be allowed under CAA rules though?

Where are Airtanker actually based is it Brize?

Being returned to Airtanker. Expect TC vinyl to come off in th next day or two and returned to suport RAf trooping flights.

G-VYGK Just departed Brize as Tow333P. Heard it go OTT Swindon but cloud base too low to see it. Heading South East.
