Yet more '80's memories

Post by paddyboy » Fri Aug 23, 2019 12:40 pm

Hi Peeps :P

Back home and a bit more digging and delving done

All the usual suspects, venue-wise, are there, and as some of you will know, the last 3 are from somewhere dear to my heart :'(

They were target towing aircraft. The colour scheme was intended to stand out.

Some great Jet Warbirds there Patrick. I recognise that Canberra from Finningley '91 - ably displayed by Dave Piper.

Good stuff Paddyboy :thumb:

Seeing the Canberra reminds me of when FRADU still had them at Yeovilton, and they would be a near daily sight flying over to/from the training areas off the South West coast, quite often get the Hunters as well. :thumb:

So much more variety back then

All the best

Gosh! A real blast from the past. That Mosquito takes me back to school days, Sgt Braddock in the Rover, anyone else remember that character?
In the mid ‘70s, driving week in the middle of nowhere, north of Hemel Hempstead a Mossie at lo-ow level over flew my car from behind. Nearly had two accidents.

Hi Pat, The Ginas, were they taken a Coltishall -Spring 1988 by any chance? My plans to go down to see them fell through at the last minute. :(

Hi Paddy...Awesome set of retro show stuff. Reds and Concorde are well seen and taken ,(best formation they both did) I saw the red Hunter at my first Mildenhall show 86/87?, I think Mike Carlton brought it in, it looked brilliant in the light at the time in the static Park. Thanks for posting in and showing us 90s show goers , what we missed  :thumb:
Best wishes mate from...North of the River Tae at the Lakenham Camera Club...
