Approx 6 tucanos det to Valley for week or so, they were operating off Seahawk Apron which the Texans use (ZF145/171/239/491/515 all seen Mon 5/8 also ZF135 noted active in area from Mode-S). They must have swopped a one or two during the week as ZF448 not seen.
"WTN10" up early pm. In circuit 1350L & land.
Believed to have been BS153 on PFAT2.

Mon 12/08/19

ZK439 (BS155) seen on climbout 1425L "WTN10". Finally on delivery. Climbed to FL400 initially out over Irish Sea. About 30mins over Sea before transit to Coningsby.
Only one more new build to go now for RAF.

ZK303/AX (BT017) seen on climbout @ 1634L after SRA rwy 25 + o/s. (T/o 1625 approx). "WTN69" (+1). Off to Valley for more of the same I guess...

ZK437/BS153 "WTN69" sporty T/o burners in near vertical climb and roll off the top @ 1544L on PFAT3. "WTN69" showing on adsb with expected hexcode 43C7AE. Recovered from the north and east with an ILS to rwy 25 & low overshoot @ 1710L. One circuit and landed 1713L. Yet another late afternoon sortie courtesy of Tarnish 69. Apparently flt.2 was last Fri afternoon with "WTN10" flying it. I wasn't in the area so missed it.

Note: ZK026 is now coded FB in 25 Sqn mks (since Oct-Nov last year). There are (at least) 10 T2s now carrying full XXV mks (codes FA/FB/FD/FE/FH/FI/FJ/FK/FL/FM). ZK037 was still coded AB on 10/7 but had been remarked/recoded FM by 14/7! So now ZK027/030/031 not noted yet carrying XXV mks/codes (to become FC/FF/FG respectively). There may be an additional jet allocated to 25 Sqn making 14 jets each, with 4 Sqn possibly "loosing" ZK024 to 25 Sqn and this being coded FN. Will shall see.

BAES Warton work the late Aug Bank Hol. Just another day at the office...

Typhoon heard on climbout @ 1304L, "WTN10".
Headed east to operate north of Brough (& Humber) in block FL150-190.

Rec ILS to rwy 25, localiser established @ 1417L & low o/s 1420L; 3x t/gs 1423/25/28L & landed 1430L. Looked lke a twin-seater in circuit so ZK303/AX (BT017) up again. Taxied back in to southern fltline

Typhoon heard on climbout @ 1420L; flown by "WTN10". Climbed initially to FL400.
AAR with ZZ337 "TTN21" on towline off NE coast Scotland (NE of Aberdeen). Hand off to Swanwick Mil 282.625 @ 1432L, was about 80 track miles from tanker @ 1434L approx 15 mins flying time...
ZK303 (BT017) up again for another continuation training sortie?
