A big crop on this one but it's ZZ103 which has been repaired having rolled over shortly after delivery back in 2017.

Nice set Neil.

I saw a Norwegian Merlin fly over my work in Chard late afternoon, heading back towards Yeovil.

Edited to correct the wrong Air Arm :'(

My mistake

I'd been looking at my photos of the Danish Merlin at RIAT prior to replying to this post - my eyes saw one thing and my fingers typed something else!

Which side of the airfield were these taken from? The times I've taken pictures has been from Pyle Lane, were these shots taken there or from the other side.

Looks like Pyle Lane to me Alfie. Surprising what some sunshine does to photos!

Yes, it was Pyle Lane.

The problem with Pyle Lane this time of year is using extended focal lengths (500mm in my case on a full frame sensor) for ground or hover shots and the resulting heat haze. I took 200 images and 150 were deleted because of the heat haze being so bad. I managed to salvage something useable from the rest.

I'm looking forward to the winter with crisp clear conditions.
