Re: REDS
No official announcement has been made on where the Reds will relocate so you can expect them to return to Scampton at the end of the tour.

Re: REDS
Given no choice or announcement has been made yet then of course they'll go back to Scampton.
Whilst the team is in NA, the whole non travelling support organisation will still be back at Scampton and providing support and the thought of trying to move this when it is needed for the tour would be just crazy and never contemplated.
Add to the fact that if the team moves, the families and people would need to do too, that would be the most stupid thing to plan.

Re: REDS
Finalised...? It hasn't even been initialised!
The 'talk' you refer to was nothing more than uninformed theories on forums and 'social' media. I'm sure we'll eventually hear details of the real plans for their move, but expect to hear many more rumours, canards and red herrings before that!
Re: REDS
Another of my idle thoughts.
Baz1, if you changed the title of this thread to “RED Herrings”, we could ask the Mods to create a sticky ( in the RAF Scampton section?) which everyone could use until the move is made.

There's no "go-round" in a glider.

Re: REDS
A couple of weeks ago I was doing some clearing out of the loft and came across some Aviation News mags. Foremost in one was an article about the imminent move of the Reds from Scampton to Cranwell, with the expectation that they would continue to display over Scampton.
Date on the magazine - 1995.

In case you missed it, this move rumour was actually true though.iainpeden wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 8:32 amA couple of weeks ago I was doing some clearing out of the loft and came across some Aviation News mags.
