If it uses the same people and format as their train series, it was cringe-worthy and will wind us all up!

Agreed, Peter Snow waving his arms around like a pendulum plus Andi Peters!

If its anything like Trainspotting Live then its time to watch something else, cringeworthy.

Arthur Williams is one of the 4 presenters. The disabled ex Marine that has the Piper Cub, and did the series flying around Britain. So maybe.....

According to the Radio Times, Thursday's programme features military aircraft, but don't know if entire programme is devoted to military.

Why would it be - spotting is not just about military aviation. There are certainly far more opportunities to spot civil than there are military too. I would expect there to be a reasonable balance across the hobby.

There is defintely some military. Arthur Williams was on Twitter last week asking if there were any military bases with flying in the evening, and looking for spotters. The last I saw they were considering Brize.

I expect it to be mostly civil though. Would be a very slow live program if they were stood outside quiet military bases at night!

Looking forward to this. It's a treat for those of us who like civil and military aviation.

I did some work with Arthur late last year, he's a thoroughly decent and nice guy and a true enthusiast too, not somebody pretending to be one. If this shows through, like his recent flying round the UK programme, it'll be off to a good start.

Peter Snow said in the teaser that they were going to see how many types they could see. Well at Heathrow job would be done in a couple of hours as only Boeing Airbus and D-8 CRJs and occasional biz.

Friend of mine was at Stansted when Trump was due and he was interviewed for the programme.

Many railway enthusiasts reckoned the train series was at least 20 years too late. Not such a variety to see these days. Can we say the same about the aviation scene?

In the 70's & 80's you had some decent aircraft to look forward to seeing, B707.B727, DC-8, Concorde, VC-10. Now its the airbus, airbus, airbus!!!

Airbus models number 8 to be seen: 318/319/320/321/330/340/350/380. OK so the smaller ones are similar (-ish) but the 340 and 380 are large 4-jets - modern-day 707/DC-8 and 747 equivalents. Still 747s to be seen too for a bit longer. Add colours and operators into the mix and it's still a good trip.

It was better than i expected,i missed mondays episode but will watch it on catch up,to be honest as others have said Arthurs participation maked it more interesting for me i loved his piper cub series and his love of anything aviation really comes across to the viewer, also we all need to watch everything aviation related on the telly otherwise nothing will get made for our very niche hobby.
