Surprised no-one has posted this:

Click on the "Live" button on the right hand side.

They're about to execute LOI - Lunar Orbit Insertion.

Fascinating stuff.

I am sure glad my parents dragged me out of bed in the middle of the night 50 years ago to see those grainy images on a b&w tv and listen to those now famous words...

Apparently I did to, but I was only 2 and a half!

I remember being up all night to watch the moonwalk. I was already interested in space to a degree but this kindled a lifelong interest (passion) in the history of Apollo. A bit picture heavy but I hope these are of interest, especially to those of 'a certain age....'

Thanks for the pictures... Really like them as I belong to the "certain age" group. While I was too young to ask for autographs (and didn't speak English as a 6 year old) an Apollo 11 patch was my very first patch ever.
Still have it today.

Now that is impressive. I read "Moondust" quite recently and thought how amazing it would have been to have somehow met a member of that crw, but all three? Great stuff.

Thanks for the kind words about the collection. Yes, 'Moondust' is a very interesting read. Apart from Armstrong and Aldrin I've been very lucky over years to meet six other moonwalkers (Bean, Mitchell, Scott, Young, Duke and Cernan) as well as a number of other Apollo astronauts who didn't make the twelve who did.
