The Italian Army Alpine Troops in international training

The Alpini at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo
The Alpine Troops in international training in Veneto

Auronzo di Cadore 11 July 2019 - The "Lavaredo 2019", the international mountaineering exercise that brought 700 soldiers from 6 nations to the mountains of the Veneto, ended in the presence of the Army Corps General Salvatore Farina, Chief of Staff of the Army. a NATO command coordinated by the Alpine Army Troops.
On the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most famous mountains in the Dolomites, a UNESCO world heritage site, over 200 mountain climbers have climbed along 14 routes from the most accessible to the hardest with a VIII degree of difficulty. The protagonists are the staff of the Julia and Taurinense brigades, the instructors of the Alpine Training Center and the athletes of the Army Sports Center. Together with them, Chilean, Omani, Spanish, Slovenian and French colleagues worked on the dolomitic ledges, soldiers of allied armies and of friendly countries who have been training for years in the mountains in the Alps, together with the Italian mountain troops, the most ancient, articulated and numerous in the western world.
The training event shared with the local administration and by the mayor of Auronzo, took place in a well-known and appreciated landscape, in which the Alpine Troops worked with the utmost attention, eliminating the anthropic impact on the natural context. In fact, a series of rules, precautions, indications and ways of working prepared by an environmental engineer of the selected reserve specifically employed for its specific expertise have been put in place. A series of almost natural attentions for those who, like "the Alpine", are accustomed by tradition or by training to work in the mountains. And the mountain, not only for its splendor, was the protagonist of the training moment, in which the verticality of the dolomitic walls were faced by the staff, of the 2nd Alpine regiment in the tactical act that saw the use of numerous assets specialists from among other things, from the special forces and the aviation of the Army.
By putting into practice the doctrine of mountain warfare, with entries in fast roop and exfiltration with aircraft, the Alpine troops brought a piece of history of the specialty to Cadore that today, with a new spirit, is finding a tactical location. The 105/14, a piece of artillery in use from the 60s until the beginning of 2000 was used in experimentation for a use in particular tactical situations.
"The mountain is in the DNA of the Alpine troops, today as yesterday its requirements and its rules dictate the training, so selective as to make the mountain soldiers of the" squared soldiers "- underlined General Berto, commander of the Alpine Troops, continuing - the training that the mountain allows is indispensable for the Alpine ".

Honestly! If the OP. goes to all the effort of adhering to Rule 9, why can't the 'highly fluent' responders do the same?
9 - ALL posts must be made in English and readable with no text-speak at all. Text-speak is not regarded as a mode of communication here because it is pure idleness/laziness of the English Language. If you are in doubt of how to spell a word then please use google, a spell-checker or a dictionary.
That aside, another fantastic photo-opportunity with stunning backgrounds. The light is harsh, but the time of day is not under your control. Shutter-speeds could be slower in some cases. Would I refuse the chance due to time of day, or slow the shutter & blur the shots....NOT a chance!
Well done on a great photo series & most informative introduction. :thumb:
