CH-47s, HMX VH-3s & Heritage Eagles at RAF Mildenhall & Lakenheath

Post by James Cutting » Sat Jun 15, 2019 4:34 pm

After spending the Tuesday at IWM Duxford for the brilliant Daks over Normandy event, I spent the following 2 days between Mildenhall and Lakenheath. Wednesday saw the fantastic 6 Osprey's and 6 Hercules formation for thei flypast at Duxford :Wow: Thursday saw the 3 Special F-15s head out to Normandy, before catching the US Army Chinook arrivals at Mildenhall. We made it back to LN in time for 15s RTB before darting back to MH to catch the 3 VH-3's with a moment to spare  Special thanks to Nick and others there making it a great few days, as well as all the heads up info on this site - all hugely appreciated :thumb: Anyway - the pictures speak for themselves!

Great set of shots of some very nice visitors. Love the markings on the NJ tanker. With all the Dak festivities aswell it was quite a week to be in the area.

Sorry Mate but those VH-3s are United States Marine Corps, not USAF.
