Grumman TBF Avenger
This is the subject of my build for the comp.
I have a thing for Grumman aircraft, and this one of my all-time favourite WW2 USN aircraft. The mighty Avenger.
So anyway the box art:
And what's in the box:
And the markings option, which is for an aircraft from the USS Bunker Hill in 1945:

Thanx Ben.
I'm looking forwards to the comp, and couldn't wait to get started.

Northrop YB-49
I bought a 1 48 B-17 for this comp but then I picked this up for eight quid at last weeks, Duxford bus show. Yes I said bus show I was there for the aircraft honest
I have a plan for this build and it does not include finishing the aircraft in a `natural metal` finish. First because I dont like it and second (and more important) I cant do it.
This pic is a grab from the net untill I can get some of my own up. The usual camera problems The box I have is pretty similar to the one shown. It is quite batterd and was very wet, did you see the weather last Sunday A lot of the major parts are off the spruce but everything seems to be there as far as I can see.
I might as well of gone for the B-36, this thing is 72cm long
I will be putting up some progress pics but not going into techniques because i just dont have any
Good luck to all and thank you for running the comp

Re: Grumman TBF Avenger
Right so some progress on the TBF.
And I've added the control column to the Pilot's position, and both bulkheads to the pilot's and radio operators position:
I also the D/F too one of the fuselage halves:

Re: Hawk T1 XX337 1/48
ok was hoping to use the eduard etch for the tub, but it hasnt arrived so ive decided to use the etch from the kit and save the eduard tubs stuff for my other 1/48 hawk kit, any way the seats are done, i started at 0630hrs this morning, as i woke and couldnt get back to sleep!
oh by the way ive set myself another deadline! 17th October! hopefully she will be on the Britmodler stand at lincoln and newark showw, well thats the plan
on to the tub!
