Cosford Show Aircraft Moves Shawbury
Another year and another topic on aircraft moves, so let's start the ball rolling, and please note this is as always TBC and SUBJECT TO CHANGE:
Czechs are in this Thursday, times TBC but expected at midday.
Typhoons in Friday PM
Hornets in Friday
Belgium's in Thursday but may leave the chopper at Cosford on the ground.
Reds are in Saturday at approx 1600 hours.
That's all so far, and as per the norm Shawbury are being tight lipped, and wont give the public any times.
Anyone with further info please add to this topic

I believe the German P-3 has also confirmed - and a little bird has told me that the German Navy may be sending a Tornado or two...

Re: Cosford Show Aircraft Moves Shawbury
I dont think there is room on the visitors pan for the Germans though?
Also heard today that the security is going to be extra hot this weekend. With people being kept away from both ends of the runway. Some to RAF police this afternoon who were up on the lane at the South end, and they advised that they have asked from the lane to be closed to the public. Prob wont happen though...

Re: Cosford Show Aircraft Moves Shawbury
Assuming the lane is public land and a right of way, then they can't close it unless they've applied for and been granted a TRO from the (County) council. These need to be applied for well in advance - something like 2 months - and published on the council website and in the local press. The Yeovilton one usually goes up about a month before the show.GhostWalker wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:32 pmI dont think there is room on the visitors pan for the Germans though?

If there isn't already something on the council website then it's unlikely there is any TRO in force, and therefore no-one can legally prevent you exercising your rights on a RoW. Don't expect private security guards to understand this though.

Who said they would park on the visitors pan?
The last time the P-3 was booked in - it was due to be parked on the Medium Bomber Dispersal - just like the Italian Tornado.

Re: Cosford Show Aircraft Moves Shawbury
Viewing is good - but the jets have all been hangared (because of the adverse weather) - it’s thundering like crazy at the moment at at Shawbury.

Was it just the Gripen that arrived today?
