Was thinking when looking at this thread, if the reason for the Typhoon withdrawal is cost related then why do they not replace the Typhoon with the Aircraft in the first two pictures? It's probably cheaper than a jet and more economical and environmentally friendly. Also what aircraft type is that?

This comment is based on when I saw a picture some time ago of an RAF Grob Tutor parked in a HAS and I thought exactly the same.

That's very comprehensive coverage of one of the less well known air arms. The pic of the helicopter trio in line astern is exceptional.
