I couldn't believe that the thunderstorm came in just as the flypast was about to happen!!!

Stunning weather for two months beforehand but just then, of all moments..
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
on a diffrent note, i bought myself the programme last year but all the display times were wrong. Other people has a daily movement sheet with the b2 flypast on it. So my question is how do I get a programme which is correct
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
Daily movement sheet is only available to FRIAT members.

You me and a few thousand more could not believe it!!!!!.....Still a bit miffed about it and the fact there was no backup plan and to only do it on 1 day seemed a bit strange too?

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
The programme changed last year due to call offs, The ATL2 was recalled for operations and a serious accident with the Mig-21 which resulted in the pilot dying was the reason the never came,There will always be changes to any airshow programme as anything can happen or an aircraft may go technical or as with the flypast last year the weather.
As for the B-2 last year i believe it was a last day decision for it to flypast as it was on a training run from the USA and was low on fuel due to having to circle over brize for 10 minutes hence why it only did 1 pass.

That's up to you. Knowing that it has been printed well in advance and thus may not be accurate on the day means you can make an informed decision. Of course it has always been like that for any event throughout the years. Most airshows I went to in the last 40+ years have had changes on the day. That's just part and parcel of the hobby. I'm sure if you look not too closely that it will say something like subject to change.

Is it? I was able to buy the daily movements sheet for £3 in the public grandstand in 2017 on the Saturday, and at the programme stand beside the yellow entrance on the Sunday.
Anyway, I will always buy the programme. It's nice to flick through from time to time.

May be enclosures, apologies.

at cosford the b-52 burst in for its flypast while the b-17 still was flying. The B-2 pilot should of done the same thing at RIAT

I wouldn't have complained
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
Heard from another thread that the su 27 will make a flying appearance this year !
Also how would RIAT deal with it if they haven't got anymore fast jets confirmation. People would start wanting their money back as they promised 7 hrs of flying !

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
It doesn't say 7 hours of fast jets though does it!
Cheers

Now i love fast jets as much as any enthusiast but 7hrs of fast jets? That would be so boring, you need variety throughout the show like the BBMF, Helicopters and even the odd heavy thrown in A-400 Atlas springs to mind.

USAF C17 is confirmed by Yeovilton site as a static for their show. Maybe we will see it hop over to RIAT as the US aircraft normally share both shows. Would be a nice static addition.

Ukrainians confirmed
Fabulous Flanker Returns
We've got an early Easter treat for you today! Forget the chocolate eggs, we're thrilled to announce the return of the Ukrainian Air Force to this year's show.
Following two fantastic appearances in 2017 and 2018, the Ukrainians will be joining us once again with their Sukhoi Su-27 display. One will take to the skies to wow the crowds and the other will be a part of our brilliant static line up, alongside an Il-76 transporter.
Posh are going to Wembley (albeit for a tin cup)
