Yep, listening in from home today.
Re: C17s to Fairford
Reach movements for the B52 deployment should be posted in this section :- viewtopic.php?f=405&t=173335

Re: C17s to Fairford
The Staff have been kind enough to create an entire section of the forum for the B52 deployment, it is here :- viewforum.php?f=404

Re: C17s to Fairford
But anyone looking for info on a/c inbound to Fairford would look in the Fairford section not guess that some random section ( that is empty) has been created - just makes life complicated. Lets keep Fairford movements in the Fairford sectionMike wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 5:36 pmThe Staff have been kind enough to create an entire section of the forum for the B52 deployment, it is here :- viewforum.php?f=404
Re: C17s to Fairford
Agree with Paulgul: this happens often - though thankfully this time folks have been kind enough to direct us to the arcane link!
Re: C17s to Fairford
The MODS have got into the habit of creating a separate section for big deployments such as this and have done for a few years now, it is most welcome as it keeps all information in one section to prevent FCers flitting from one section to another. They did this for last years bomber deployment and I believe for the Cobra Warrior exercise at Coningsby last September time. It is always on the site's main page once you have logged in, easy to find. Long may it continue

Anything night stopping ???
Re: C17s to Fairford
Yes indeed, a brilliant idea, it makes so much sense, if you need to know about incoming/departing aircraft it's all there, and of course in the reach section also, thank you Mods..tornado17 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:23 pmThe MODS have got into the habit of creating a separate section for big deployments such as this and have done for a few years now, it is most welcome as it keeps all information in one section to prevent FCers flitting from one section to another. If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
Re: C17s to Fairford
Are we using the deployment thread from now on then?
2023 Airshows
Too many to list
Too many to list
Re: C17s to Fairford
Yes indeed and for photographs as well. One of the MODS normally creates a thread in which he posts all the movements day by day with take off/landing times and call signs. Hopefully, the same will happen this time, hint hint!!
Re: C17s to Fairford
Why do the C-17s that have come in relocate to Prestwick?

Re: C17s to Fairford
Or you could just type the word "Fairford" into the search-box at the top of any page and the latests posts will appear first. Also works for any other search if you're not familiar.Paulgul wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:02 pmBut anyone looking for info on a/c inbound to Fairford would look in the Fairford section not guess that some random section ( that is empty) has been created - just makes life complicated. The non-random section set up is not empty - at the time of your post it contained 19 posts - now into two pages. Tiis approach by the mods/admins has always worked for other major events with little or no complaint and benefits far more members than those for whom it seems to cause a problem. So thanks to the team for their labours - unpaid and voluntary as ever. I suggest any issues you or other complainants may have are directed at one of them via PM.
Anyway now you know the section exists there should be no more life-complicating for you
