Looks like they’ve had a few issues with E-Tickets. They’ll be resending all E-Tickets and Permits within 24hrs.
Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford
Does anyone know if the £25 ticket includes normal admission or is it £25 plus normal admission?

You would have noticed that you cannot buy the usual general admission ticket for either of those days. So, either the DoD ticket includes admission or the IWM is closed for those two days.

I live under a potential route from Duxford to Normandy, will they publish a flight plan or would there be some some sort of NOTAM for a large formation like that so I can find out in advance?

Wonder if they’ll return to Duxford after the events in France (9 June onwards) or if they will depart for home direct from France.

Cheers Reaper, really helpful. Not quite over my house between Maidstone and Eastbourne but maybe a blast on the bike to Beachy Head might be in order.reaper493 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 3:42 pmA plan for the week has been released, with Flypasts over Colchester, Southend, Maidstone and Eastborne on the way.

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford
more information seems to have been released via the FB group "Daks over Normandy" at the weekend.
19th May the US "squadron" will depart Oxford CT on the 19th May routing via Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Reykjavik and Prestwick this "squadron! seems to consist of 15 aircraft.
3rd June there is a night photo shoot at £95 a ticket, they seem to have 163 passes left for this event.
June 5th
13:40 (from) Depart Duxford
14:21 Colchester
14:29 Southend
14:37 Maidstone
14:50 Eastbourne
15:20 Le Harve
16:30 Sannerville Drop Zone
16:45 (from) arrival Caen Carpiquet
the comments on the FB page suggest they will fly in Echelon rights of three at 30 second intervals.
I am sure there is more but I have run out of time to read the postings

I note the D-Day Squadron section of the Daks over Normandy website features small pictures of Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Reykjavik and Wick airports, so does that mean the Daks will route Reykjavik-Wick-Prestwick, or does someone not know the difference between Wick and Prestwick?!STN RAMP RAT wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:40 pm19th May the US "squadron" will depart Oxford CT on the 19th May routing via Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Reykjavik and Prestwick this "squadron! seems to consist of 15 aircraft.

there was some talk of this on FB with the suggestion that it might be a split operation over both airportsdaggerfan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 7:19 pmI note the D-Day Squadron section of the Daks over Normandy website features small pictures of Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Reykjavik and Wick airports, so does that mean the Daks will route Reykjavik-Wick-Prestwick, or does someone not know the difference between Wick and Prestwick?!STN RAMP RAT wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:40 pm19th May the US "squadron" will depart Oxford CT on the 19th May routing via Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Reykjavik and Prestwick this "squadron! seems to consist of 15 aircraft.

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford
Reading the "Betsy's Biscuit" website ( it's a C-47!) They are routing from the USA making UK landfall at Prestwick then going to Cambridge before heading to Duxworth [sic] on the 2nd of June
I guess most of the Daks will be prepositioned locally so they can arrive at Duxford on the 2 June. Maybe at Cambridge and North Weald?
