Hello
Would anyone be able to assist please with the serial for the Merlin aboard HMS Northumberland ( pennant F238) ?
It steamed past us on the Clyde today and the hangar door was open
Unfortunately my camera was not available at the time and I only managed a quick and distant glance as she went past
Thanks and regards,
Paul

Re: HMS Northumberland Merlin
Hi Paul
I found a shot of Northumberland with Merlin coded "372" and "B" sat on her stern, which I believe is ZH852, those markings/codes certainly tie in with her photos on ABPics.

ZH852 is a HM1 and has been in storage at Boscombe Down for several years so that is an old photograph, the B is also the marking for the beacon on the side of the fuselage not a code, sorry I can't confirm which Merlin was allocated to NL in December at the moment.grahamdevizes wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:05 amHi Paul
