New Hunter for HHA.

Rare Hawker Hunter from Brazil arrives in the United Kingdom

Hawker Hunter Aviation Ltd. (HHA) at RAF Scampton has come into possession of former Embraer flight-test chase plane Hunter T72 PP-XHH.

Although the newcomer has not officially been announced by the HHA, the dual seat Hunter was noted in one of the hangars at Scampton on 4 September 2018.

Founded in 2000 and based at Scampton, HHA jets are flown & maintained by former Royal Air Force, Royal Navy & Test Pilot personnel familiar with both trials management and the latest NATO training, systems and operational requirements.

Still wearing civil colours, hopefully the former Chilean Air Force (and Embraer) Hunter will receive a smart livery and a semi military serial like the HHA's two airworthy examples ZZ190 and ZZ191.

Anybody know where it will be based.
I assume with the rest of the fleet,Not Scampton.

The fleet are based at Scampton at present. Unsure where they will move to when Scampton closes.....

Oddly, I wouldn't usually like this type of scheme, but I think it looks good on the Hunter!

Nice to see something different and nice to see them still active! Personally I think agressor schemes are some of the most interesting out there right now

I'll take the new HHA splinter livery over that Civil scheme anytime! Despite a little 'research', I can't find why this particular airframe was so attractive for HHA to repatriate? Yes it's twin-seat, but not the only one? Probably still has the Avon 200 engine? Maybe it's low-hours due to it's last 2 keepers? Maybe it was Cheap!! Any information gratefully received. TIA.
