Interesting to see it taxiing with the FOD guards still in place.

Re: "New" Iranian fighter..
I'm so bitterly disappointed with the "big reveal" - I was expecting some sort of Iranian copy of BAe's Tempest.
It's not even their best modification of the F-5, that must surely be the "Armita" - a modified RF-5A:-

Imagine- a reconnaissance aircraft able to perform low, medium and high-altitude photo-recce, all while carrying another pilot, co-pilot, navigator, flight engineer, 5 x cabin crew and up to 152 passengers (and their luggage)

I'll get my coat.....

Looks like they've gone back to square one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI5lFaB7Tcs
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
Re: "New" Iranian fighter..
The one in the OP post has a single vertical stabiliser, whilst the one in the latest clearly has a V shaped tail empennage.
Cheers

That isn't their new aircraft but an aircraft associated with the testing of the new Kowsar.GaryS wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 8:46 pmLooks remarkably like a F5 to me?

This is the Kowsar. Clearly based on the Taiwanese ADIC AT-3.

Re: "New" Iranian fighter..
By 'based on', I guess you mean that they've closely copied the configuration...?
If you look at the detail, there's not a single part of it that is actually the same, so it certainly isn't a 'Chinese' ( ) copy....
