So instead of viewing white storks on Dutch chimneys we may well see them on UK chimneys.

A reintroduction scheme, organised by a coalition of wildlife groups will release up to 40 birds each year in an effort to restore
the species.
The Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation are behind programme, which aims establish a self
sustaining population in Sussex by 2030.

One of my friends has told me an interesting story about the eating habits of storks. It seems that storks when foraging for food store all the food in their beaks regurgititate the food drop it on their nests on top of chimneys some of their prey are live snakes who wriggle off the nests and fall down the chimneys thats when the householder finds snakes spiders and other creepy crawlies in
their downstairs rooms.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw9eve2BMU4 What an amazing sight. Helmut is saying that he and his team are able to track the flight of the white stork all the way from Europe to Africa and on their return to
Europe.
