Agreed. There are 1 or 2 forum members that are unbelievably pompus and equally condescending. I have reported them (and highlighted several posts) to the moderators however it would seem that certain board members are given a free pass. Disgraceful really.RubyRoo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 5:41 pmIgnore the above poster. It's not polite to accuse others of laziness when people have a legitimate question, especially as you may have already looked and still don't know. This is a forum for knowledge, not to look down upon others.
They do have ID numbers, but where it is on the aircraft, I haven't got a clue unfortunately.
I looked here for tail codes: http://www.military.cz/usa/navy/ship_ac ... il_cod.htm
I don't know how up to date it is, but nothing references E-6Bs, so I suspect they don't carry tail codes. Looking at the photos seems to confirm that.
I'd be interested to know where any ID number can be found on the aircraft if someone knows.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Feel free to call me 'pompus' and 'condescending' but not at any point, was bizfreeq rude or impolite. I'm not entirely sure what your problem is?

How is telling someone (politely, I might add) to Google something ‘disgraceful’? There are more important things to worry about right now than serial numbers and Google. Unsurprising really, when you see who makes the comment on this page, again.
UKAR would be more fitting I imagine...

'Unsurprisingly' you fail to understand the point that I was making and what the 'disgraceful' comment was actually referencingJames Cutting wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 9:41 pmHow is telling someone (politely, I might add) to Google something ‘disgraceful’? James, I think the word was used in reference to the fact that as a new member most of his complaints have been ignored and posts removed and more "experienced"/long-standing members have "got away with it". I'm old enough not to care sometimes and, I hope, wise enough to apologise when I need to. Apologies for continuing thread-drift and this will probably get cleaned up as well but sometimes things need saying openly - but at the same time politely and, where possible, well constructed.

Agreed there Nighthawke. Guess you got to sit back, and watch it unfold really. Will leave for the Admin team, it’s just petty. 1 week to go...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
The posts which I identifed were not reported out of pettyness but out of principle (there simply should not be different rules for different board members). I can point to many examples where board members have been condescending, impolite, and discourteous. Its clear based on the post from RubyRoo (and GliderPilot01 in an earlier post) that I am not alone.James Cutting wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 10:00 pmAgreed there Nighthawke. Just like you were extremely rude to me the other week, throwing insults at me unnecessarily, after I’d helped you in the past. Nobody has their own rules. What goes around, comes around.

Hans GruberI wanted this to be professional, efficient, adult, cooperative. Not a lot to ask. Alas, your Mr MarkyMarkB did not see it that way… so he won’t be joining us for the rest of his life.”

I would have expected something from the Emerald Isle as they usually show up to support the Show.James Cutting wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:32 amI like that quote!

I think it's just the raging excitement of riat being a week away causing this ruckus. Calm down boys (and girls
), the show will soon be here. The endorphins will soon be vented and we can get back to normal

looks like the update page on the riat website has just gone down
